Why is the Church Pension Group studying healthcare benefits?
- The 75th General Convention authorized CPG to conduct a church-wide study of the costs and issues surrounding the provision of healthcare benefits to all clergy and lay employees serving dioceses, congregations and other church institutions. CPG will present a report and recommendation to the General Convention in 2009.
As a parish employee, how can I have input into any future recommendation?
- Email us with your questions or thoughts.
- Attend a church-sponsored meeting. More than 1,000 employees have participated in more than 75 diocesan and church-sponsored meetings to share their feedback with the project team, and more meetings are planned. Ask your employer about future meetings near you. At these meetings, employees share their opinions ask questions, helping the project team refine its recommendations.
