It's never too early to think about your future, including retirement, and begin planning for it. Here's how to start today:
- Set financial goals you want to achieve by the time you retire. Download worksheet

- Make a budget. Download worksheet

- Estimate the cost of college education for children or other family members. Download worksheet

- Review your group life insurance benefits and calculate the amount of life insurance you need.
- Review your pension benefits with the Church Pension Fund. Call Clergy Pension Services at (800) 223-6602 or email us to arrange a time to review the status of your benefits.
- Assess your savings, including retirement savings and other pension plans in which you or your spouse may be vested, as well as other potential sources of retirement income. Consider additional ways to save for retirement.
- Review your beneficiary information on the life insurance policy you receive through the Church Pension Fund, as well as other life insurance, annuities, and retirement savings accounts. Download group life insurance beneficiary form

- Think about where you would like to live in retirement, and research the the cost of living there.
- Review your Social Security information.
- Remember to continue taking advantage of the Internal Revenue Service's housing exclusion for clergy. For information and tax forms:
