To be covered, an auto involved in an accident must be either a class of vehicle or a special automobile designated in the policy declaration. The types of vehicles that may be insured include:
- Owned autos, including those on long-term lease.
- Specifically described(scheduled) autos listed on the policy by make, year, model and serial number.
- Rented (hired) autos other than those obtained from the insured organization's employees, partners or members of their households.
- Non-owned autos, neither owned, leased or borrowed—including those of the insured organization's employees, partners or members of their households—used on behalf of the insured.
