Denominational health plan approved

The 76th General Convention has passed Resolution A177, establishing a denominational health plan for the Episcopal Church, to be administered by the Episcopal Church Medical Trust.

For active clergy and lay employees

Episcopal Church Medical Trust health plans that combine economies of scale with plan designs specific to the Church's needs..

As members of a coalition of 32 denominational benefit programs, we use our collective buying power to lower costs.

2010 open enrollment:

Details about open enrollment are mailed to individuals whose employers provide health benefits through the Episcopal Church Medical Trust.

For retired clergy and lay employees

Medicare Supplement plans include medical, hearing, travel, and vision benefits. The plans are available with or without pharmacy benefits.

Retired clergy with at least 10 years of credited service may be eligible for the Church Pension Fund's Post-Retirement Healthcare Assistance to help offset the cost of these plans.
