To be eligible for Short-Term Disability Insurance, you must be:
- an active lay employee of the Episcopal Church,
- employed at least 20 hours a week for pay
You are covered for disability from the first day you or your employer enrolls in the plan. Enrollments should be made within 60 days after you are hired.
Enrollments after 60 days require a health statement and are processed by the plan's underwriter, First UNUM Life Insurance Company.
