You are eligible
to enroll in Long-Term Disability Insurance if you work for pay at least 20 hours a week for an Episcopal institution. The review process for eligibility is entirely independent from the process used to review applicants for lay disability retirement benefits.You are covered for disability from the first day you enroll in the plan.
Enrollments should be made within 60 days
after you are hired. Enrollments after 60 days require a health statement and are processed by First UNUM Life Insurance Company for approval.
