Defined Benefit Plan

The Episcopal Church Lay Employees' Retirement Plan
(Defined Benefit Plan)

  • You may receive Normal Retirement benefits at age 65 or after.
  • You may also retire as early as age 55 with a reduced benefit.
  • If you keep working after age 65, your employer's contributions will continue and you will earn credited service until you retire.

(If you have the Defined Contribution Plan, the amount you receive in retirement depends on the value of your account when you retire. Learn more about benefits under the DC plan.)
