Once you become an active participant in the clergy pension plan, your pension plan provides financial security for you and your family, even before you retire:
- Disability protection for total disability.
- Benefits for survivors if you die before retirement.
- Surviving spouse benefit, from 50% to 100% of your pension.
- Surviving child benefit for dependent, unmarried children up to age 25, and for disabled children.*
- Life insurance up to $50,000.
- Lump sum death benefit of $5,000 for those eligible.
*If your child becomes disabled, it is vital that you inform us as soon as possible.
Your assessments must be fully paid for all benefits to be in force. If you have any doubt about the status of your record with the fund, contact us.
