Lay employees may join the Defined Contribution Retirement Plan if their employer adopts the plan and if the employee:
- Has been in the job for at least a year
- Works at least 1,000 hours a year
- Is at least age 21
Employers may expand participation to those who are younger, have less service, or work less than 1,000 hours a year.
