As a Medicare supplement member, you receive a hearing aid benefit.
In 2008, the plan provides a benefit maximum of $1,000 per ear every five years for hearing diagnostic services and for purchasing and maintaining hearing aids.
HearPO's network of providers may offer covered services at a discount to you. You are free to use any provider, but you may reduce your out-of-pocket costs by using a provider in the HearPO network. Coventry reimburses your care up to the benefit maximum. You must pay for your care at the time of service and then file a claim for reimbursement.
To access your benefits, follow these simple steps:
- Visit HearPO or call (888) 432-7464 to select a provider.
- Identify yourself as a plan member of the Episcopal Church Medical Trust.
- HearPO will mail a referral package to both you and the selected provider.
- After you receive your referral package, call the selected provider and set up an appointment.
Family members must be enrolled in a Medicare supplement plan to access the hearing aid benefits. However, all family members may take advantage of HearPO discounts, even if they are not enrolled.
