How to contact MEDEX
Your MEDEX identification card is your key to travel security. To request an ID card, call the Episcopal Church Medical Trust toll-free at (800) 480-9967 or email us.
If you have a medical or travel problem while you are away from home:
- Call MEDEX toll-free or collect-call using the telephone numbers on your ID card, or
- Call the MEDEX Assistance Center collect at (410) 453-6330.
MEDEX Access Services offers 24/7 emergency medical assistance when you are 100 or more miles away from home, either in the U.S. or abroad.
Please refer to your plan document handbook to determine how out-of-network claims would be processed.
MEDEX provides such assistance as:
- Referring you to medical and dental providers worldwide
- Transferring emergency funds for hospital admission
- Transferring your benefit information to prevent delays or denials of care
- Coordinating emergency vaccine and blood transfers if they are not available locally
- Replacing prescription drugs, eye glasses, or medical devices lost or stolen in travel
- Coordinating emergency medical evacuation if adequate medical treatment is not available or in the event of a threatening situation
- Helping replace lost or stolen travel documents
- Providing emergency translation services
- Providing toll-free, 24/7 service for sending and receiving emergency messages
- Coordinating arrangements to care for your pet in your absence
