Defined benefit pension plans 

Retirement benefits for clergy and lay empoyees in the defined benefit pension plan and their families are based on compensation and years of credited service. To help assure your benefits while you are working, it's important that you:

  • Keep your personal information up to date.
  • Annually review your compensation as reported to the Church Pension Fund.
  • Report errors and changes immediately.

Review your personal information

Your Personal Information Summary is a statement of your accumulated credited service and your highest average compensation to date.

To request a copy of your most recent Personal Information Summary, call
(866) 802-6333 or email us.

This statement projects your monthly retirement benefit at normal retirement age. It includes other personal information, such as date of birth, current compensation, beneficiaries, and your address.

The Personal Information Summary is mailed to participating clergy and lay employees in September.

Report changes

Call (866) 802-6333 or download forms for clergy here to report changes in compensation, duties, marital status, or other information on your Church Pension Fund statement.

Review your compensation

The Annual Certificate is a statement of your compensation and credited service earned for the previous year, as recorded by the Church Pension Fund. This certificate is mailed to participating clergy in the first quarter of every year.

Your estimate will be processed and mailed to you in about 10 business days.
