MLPS Improvements and Changes

We’re updating internal systems to enhance security and minimize the possibility of duplicate data entries. Starting Monday, December 16, 2019, these updates may affect the way you work in MLPS.

What's New

We will perform overnight batch processing of enrollments, changes, and terminations in MLPS.

What This Means for Administrators

MLPS will close for overnight batch processing from 12:00AM to 4:00AM ET on weeknights and Saturdays, as well as from 9:00PM to 4:00AM ET on Sundays. During these hours, you will not be able to enter any transactions in MLPS.

Data quality validations will take place during the 90 minutes to two hours before MLPS closes each night.

What This Means for Administrators

Transactions entered between 9:00PM and 12:00AM ET on weeknights and Saturdays, and between 7:00PM and 9:00PM ET on Sundays will be processed the following night and available two days after their entry.

Outside of the down times mentioned above, status updates will ordinarily be displayed the day after you enter a transaction in MLPS. Note that these updates have changed.

What This Means for Administrators

  • Once you enter a transaction, MLPS will display a status of “Completed/Pending”
  • MLPS will no longer display the “Held for Review” status
  • If a transaction requires additional information, a member of CPG’s Client Services team will reach out to either the administrator or the employee

Adding new dependents in MLPS will require a relationship start date.

What This Means for Administrators

You must enter a relationship start date in order to enroll a dependent in coverage.

Valid relationship start dates:

  • Spouse – date of marriage
  • Child – date of birth
  • Adopted Child – date of adoption
  • Domestic Partner – date of partnership
  • Disabled Child – date of birth or adoption

We have enhanced systems checks and validations for spousal information.

What This Means for Administrators

You can no longer edit spousal information (i.e., name, gender, birthdate, or social security number) in MLPS.

  • While you can add a spouse in MLPS, you cannot edit spousal data there
  • The employer (Senior Officer or Administrative Officer) can edit data for an existing spouse in the Employee Roster
  • An employee can add a spouse in MyCPG Accounts, but cannot edit spousal data there
  • The employee can edit data for an existing spouse by submitting a Change in Personal Information form
