Health Benefits for Medicare Eligible Retirees

Accessing Healthcare

Facebook Share link Linkedin Share link X Share link

Once you retire, access to quality, affordable healthcare is even more important than ever.

Although Medicare Part A and Part B provide coverage for medically necessary health services, you may wish to enhance that health insurance with a UnitedHealthcare Group Medicare Advantage (MA) plan, which has two plan options:

  • MA Premium (PPO)
  • MA Comprehensive (PPO)

Medicare Part D provides prescription drug coverage, helping to reduce the cost of covered prescription medications with UnitedHealthcare MedicareRx for Groups (PDP), which has two plan options:

  • PDP Comprehensive
  • PDP Premium

Seeing Out-of-Network Providers

With the UnitedHealthcare Group Medicare Advantage and Prescription Drug Plan (MA/PDP), members can see any Medicare provider (in-network or out-of-network) at the same cost share, as long as the provider accepts the plan and has not opted out of or been excluded from Medicare.

Review this flyer for tips on using out-of-network providers and what to do if they have questions.

Plans Designed Especially for You

Not to be confused with individual Medicare Advantage plans, our custom Group Medicare Advantage and Prescription Drug Plan (MA/PDP) was designed exclusively for Medical Trust retirees and their dependents.

In addition to delivering all the benefits of Medicare Part A, Part B, and Part D, this plan provides coverage for hearing aids, travel assistance benefits, fitness programs, and other benefits that are important to overall health.

Its two Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) options allow members to see any Medicare provider (in and out of network) at the same cost share, as long as the provider accepts the plan and has not opted out of or been excluded or precluded from Medicare.
