Benefits if You Are Disabled Prior to Retirement
CPF offers you two disability plans: short-term and long-term. If you have health issues and, as a result, plan to limit your work schedule or resign from a position, you should file an application for disability in advance to determine whether you qualify for benefits. Short-Term Disability Benefits
The Short-Term Disability Plan is intended to provide an income replacement benefit to assist employers with expenses incurred if you are unable to work due to a short-term disability.
Long-Term Disability Benefits
If you are disabled for more than 26 weeks, you may be eligible for benefits under the Long-Term Disability Plan.
