The Rev. Clayton Crawley

The Reverend Clayton Crawley is Executive Vice President and Chief Church Relations Officer of CPG. He is responsible for strengthening CPG’s ties with the Domestic and Foreign Missionary Society, the General Convention, and other groups and stakeholders around The Episcopal Church. He joined CPG in 1999.

Previously, Fr. Crawley led CPG’s technology program and served as Chief Information Officer. Prior to this, he was the Associate Rector of All Saints Episcopal Church, Palo Alto, California. He has more than 25 years of ordained ministry experience and currently serves as a non-stipendiary priest at St. Bartholomew’s Parish and Trinity Church Wall Street in New York City. 

He holds an MDiv from the Church Divinity School of the Pacific.

Mary Kate Wold
Chief Executive Officer and President

Mary Kate Wold serves as Chief Executive Officer and President of the Church Pension Group (CPG), a $17 billion financial services enterprise that provides retirement, health, life insurance, property and casualty insurance, and other products and services to The Episcopal Church. She also serves as a member of the Board of Trustees of The Church Pension Fund, CPG’s governing body.

She has served in a variety of leadership positions in the corporate, legal, and government sectors. Prior to joining CPG, she was a senior finance executive and principal corporate officer of Wyeth, one of the world’s largest pharmaceutical companies. Before embarking on her corporate career, she was a partner and chaired the tax practice group of Shearman & Sterling, a leading global law firm. Earlier in her career, she served in the Office of Tax Policy of the United States Department of the Treasury.

Her board participation has included both not-for-profit and for-profit organizations. She sits on the board of the Church Benefits Association, a national association of faith-based benefits organizations, and on the steering committee of the Church Alliance, a benefits policy and advocacy group. From 2016 until 2023 she served on the vestry of Trinity Church Wall Street in New York City and on its investment committee, which oversees the institution’s multi-billion-dollar real estate and securities portfolio. She also sits on the boards of Nucleus RadioPharma, The Jackson Laboratory, and Burke Neurological Institute. Her professional affiliations include membership in the Women’s Forum of New York and Women Corporate Directors.

Mary Kate spent her childhood in Bottineau, North Dakota, a small rural community on the Canadian border. She graduated from Hamline University in St. Paul, Minnesota, summa cum laude with a BA in English and Theater and was elected a member of Phi Beta Kappa. She later graduated cum laude from the University of Michigan Law School. She holds an honorary degree of Doctor of Humane Letters from the Berkeley Divinity School at Yale University.

Allyson McDonald

Allyson is a financial services industry veteran who brings more than 20 years of business development, operations, and management experience to her role as CEO of Boston Common. She has worked with and led teams at some of the leading financial services institutions in the country, including Goldman Sachs, Fidelity Investments and New York Life/Mainstay Investments. Most recently, she was CEO and founder of Work Capital, an impact investing distribution and consulting company. She is a former Partner in Ellevate Asset Management LLC and Partner and former Global President of Ellevate Network.

Allyson’s commitment to pursuing professional endeavors that can drive positive social impact led to her tenure as Head of Development and Communications for the Clinton Foundation’s climate and health access initiatives—and to her establishment and operation of a successful consultancy in the areas of impact investing and philanthropic services. Prior to that, at Fidelity Charitable, she built a team and business model that raised billions for charity. It was there that she fully embraced her passion for “doing well by doing good” and carefully honed her skills for creating efficiencies and growing businesses with impact.

Allyson is an avid marathon runner who has brought the same energy and stamina to her career. On the marathon trail, Allyson combines her love of running with that of fundraising for her favorite causes. Most recently completing the Boston Marathon in 2019 for Colin’s Joy Project and the Boston and Big Sur marathons in 2013 for the Newtown Memorial fund. She resides in Boston and is a graduate of the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA with a degree in Economics and a concentration in Peace and Conflict Studies.

She currently sits on the board of the Morgan Stanley Global Impact Funding Trust and is a board member for the SHAUN Foundation for Girls and an advisory board member for Komera.org.


Bhakti Mirchandani
Managing Director, Responsible Investing

Bhakti Mirchandani is Managing Director, Responsible Investing at Trinity Church Wall Street, a thriving Episcopal congregation in lower Manhattan. Bhakti is also a contributing writer at the Milken Institute and Forbes.com; teaches an award-winning impact finance class that she pioneered in Columbia University’s Masters in Sustainability Management Program, as well as an impact investing course in Columbia Business School’s Executive Education Program; is a co-founder and steering committee member of Institutional Allocators for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion; serves as an independent director of Live Oak Crestview Climate Acquisition Corp.; serves on the Board of Commissioners for the New York State Insurance Fund; and is a life member at the Council on Foreign Relations.

Previously, she was managing director at FCLTGlobal, ESG advisor to Corbin Capital, an investment management strategist at One William Street Capital Management and Lehman Brothers, and a sustainable finance banker at Barclays Capital and Unitus Capital. She also spent 10 years pioneering microinsurance, microfinance securitization, and micropension.

Her work has been featured in The New York Times, the Financial Times, Institutional Investor, CNBC, and at the G-20 and Davos. She holds a BA, MBA, and MPA from Harvard University and received the Dean’s Award from Harvard Business School. Most importantly, she is a proud mother of a spirited 4.5-year-old (#girlmom).


Anne Richardson
Senior Program Director for Investor Relations

Anne Richardson is Senior Program Director for Investor Relations at the Episcopal Church Foundation (ECF). She combines a dozen years of experience in the investment industry and success in the stewardship of church finances to further the long-term investment goals of churches, dioceses, schools, and other Episcopal organizations.

Prior to joining ECF, Anne was on the staff of her parish as Director of Development. Anne has also served as Chief Operating Officer (COO) for Calvert Research and Management, a socially responsible asset manager, and as a Managing Director and COO for Global Investment Research at Cambridge Associates, an institutional investment advisor. Anne holds degrees from Bowling Green State University and the Maxwell School at Syracuse University.


Christopher Rowe, CFA
Managing Director, Investments
Church Pension Group


Christopher Rowe is a Managing Director of CPG. He is responsible for leading CPG’s socially responsible investment engagement strategy and outreach initiatives. He works to build relationships with companies in which CPG invests, peer organizations, The Episcopal Church, and other stakeholders with similar values. Additionally, he works on behalf of the Chief Investment Officer to oversee various aspects of administration for the Investments Department, including communications and compliance.

Prior to CPG, Christopher was Chief of Staff to the CEO of PGIM, Prudential Financial’s asset management business, where he was responsible for wide-ranging activities including business administration, external relations, and sustainability. Earlier in his career, he worked directly with institutions and faith-based investors on strategies for integrating values with investments.

He received a BA in Economics from Haverford College and an MBA in Finance from New York University. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
