Marketplace Model Policies
Employers Participating in the Denominational Health Plan
Starting October 1, 2013 the federal government required employers to notify all employees of the existence of the Health Insurance Marketplaces. The Department of Labor (DOL) issued two Model Notices - one for employers that offer health coverage and one for employers that do not offer health coverage - to assist employers in the notification process. The Medical Trust has partially pre-populated the Model Notice for employers that offer health coverage through the Medical Trust. Employers must complete the Model Notice and distribute it to all employees. The Medical Trust also developed some optional communication materials that you may wish to distribute to your employees with the Model Notice.

In the future, DOL may issue revised documents, regulations or requirements. The documents on this page will be updated accordingly.
