Marketplace Model Policies
Starting October 1, 2013 the federal government required employers to notify all employees of the existence of the Health Insurance Marketplaces. The Department of Labor (DOL) issued two Model Notices - one for employers that offer health coverage and one for employers that do not offer health coverage - to assist employers in the notification process. The Medical Trust has developed model communications for diocesan administrators to use in communicating with congregations and diocesan organizations.

In the future, DOL may issue revised documents, regulations or requirements. The documents on this pages will be updated accordingly.
In addition to communicating with congregations and diocesan organizations, diocesan administrators must also notify all employees working directly for the diocese. Documents for notifying your employees can be found at Marketplace Model Policies - DHP Participants.
Health benefits are offered through plans maintained by Church Pension Group Services Corporation (doing business as The Episcopal Church Medical Trust), 19 East 34th Street, New York, NY 10016.
