Church Publishing Incorporated

Church Publishing Incorporated (CPI) was founded in 1918 as the Church Hymnal Corporation, a non-profit affiliate of the Church Pension Group. Today, CPI’s 13 staff professionals produce about 50 new books and resources each year and manage a portfolio of more than 1,500 active titles, many sold worldwide.

CPI’s core publishing program is structured around the Hymnal 1982, The Book of Common Prayer, and the specialized books and resources used in the liturgy, faith formation, governance, life, and mission of the Episcopal Church.

Extending CPI’s reach into the worldwide Anglican Communion and broader ecumenical marketplace are general trade and academic books, commentaries, and topical series. Specialty topics range from Benedictine spirituality to the emerging/missional church and from professional leadership to faith formation.

CPI also produces a wide range of church supplies including parish registers, certificates, and planning calendars. Its growing library of digital ministry resources features eBooks; web-based formation programs including Weaving God’s Promises and Living the Good News; as well as other popular digital resources including the eCP app.

CPI also supports, participates in, and publishes in collaboration with more than 400 authors, as well agencies, schools, and seminaries of the Episcopal Church, the Standing Commission on Liturgy & Music, the Standing Commission on Lifelong Christian Formation and Education, the Anglican Association of Biblical Scholars, and the Office of the General Convention.

CPI products can be ordered directly from http://www.churchpublishing.org, or through any Episcopal, religious, or secular bookstore. They are also available through online booksellers such as Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and ChristianBook.com.
