Eligibility
For you to participate in The Episcopal Church Lay Employees’ Defined Contribution Retirement Plan (Lay DC Plan), your employer must take these steps:
- Adopt the plan
- Enroll you in the plan (note that retroactive enrollments are not permitted)
Participation
- You may begin contributing your own money once your enrollment has been processed. There are no eligibility requirements to contribute your own money.
- Your employer may elect, on its adoption agreement, to require that an employee be scheduled to work 1,000 (or fewer) hours per year to be eligible to receive employer contributions.
- Check with your employer about your eligibility for, and the amount of, employer contributions to the Lay DC Plan.
