Part of CPG’s vision is to help provide financial security in retirement for pension plan participants. Our investment portfolio plays a critical role in achieving that objective. Overall, the goal of the portfolio is to earn a return that is sufficient to pay beneficiaries the retirement benefits they expect.
Our investment strategy, carried out by a highly skilled investment team, is focused on the long term, and the portfolio is well-diversified, with a mix of different investments. This diversification helps to position the portfolio to withstand periods of volatility, as we have experienced many times historically.
Even though the markets have fallen recently, the portfolio is in good shape, and we’ll continue to be prudent about seeking investment opportunities while managing risk.
