The Rev. Clayton Crawley

The Reverend Clayton Crawley is Executive Vice President and Chief Church Relations Officer of CPG. He is responsible for strengthening CPG’s ties with the Domestic and Foreign Missionary Society, the General Convention, and other groups and stakeholders around The Episcopal Church. He joined CPG in 1999.

Previously, Fr. Crawley led CPG’s technology program and served as Chief Information Officer. Prior to this, he was the Associate Rector of All Saints Episcopal Church, Palo Alto, California. He has more than 25 years of ordained ministry experience and currently serves as a non-stipendiary priest at St. Bartholomew’s Parish and Trinity Church Wall Street in New York City. 

He holds an MDiv from the Church Divinity School of the Pacific.

Michael Hood
Chief Investment Officer
Church Pension Group

Michael Hood serves as Executive Vice President, Chief Investment Officer, and Managing Director of the Church Pension Group. He is responsible for overseeing the investment programs for The Church Pension Fund, The Church Insurance Companies, Church Life Insurance Corporation, and related entities. He joined CPG in 2023.

Mr. Hood is a highly accomplished investment professional with extensive expertise in economics, asset allocation, and portfolio strategy. He formerly served as Managing Director in JPMorgan Asset Management’s Multi-Asset Solutions division where he helped oversee diverse portfolios totaling $350 billion.

Prior to this, he was Chief Economist at Traxis Partners, where he analyzed economies and markets in Asia, Europe, and Latin America. He also held positions with Barclays Capital, where he served as economist and market strategist for Latin America and global emerging markets; JPMorgan and JPMorgan Chase, where he served as economist for Latin America; and the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, where he served as an economist developing risk studies. Mr. Hood has been recognized as a top-ranked economist and has contributed to various publications.

He received an MPA in International Relations from Princeton University and a BA in Economics and Political Science from Carleton College where he graduated magna cum laude in Economics.

The Rev. Canon Mark Furlow
Canon to the Ordinary, Chief Operating Officer
The Episcopal Diocese of Southwestern Virginia

A resident of Lynchburg, Virginia, The Rev. Canon Mark Furlow serves as Canon to the Ordinary and Chief Operating Officer of The Diocese of Southwestern Virginia. In this capacity, his ministry areas include governance, finance, and stewardship.

While the ministry is Canon Furlow’s primary vocation, he has prior professional experience in theatre production, design, and technology and continues to serve a consultant around the Church on special projects. As a priest, Canon Furlow has served in four dioceses in a wide range of contexts, including small churches and large churches in both urban and rural settings. Canon Mark is a graduate of The General Theological Seminary and the University of Lynchburg's MBA program.

Meredith Jenkins
Chief Investment Officer
Trinity Church Wall Street

Meredith B. Jenkins is the Chief Investment Officer for Trinity Wall Street, where she is responsible for the investment management and oversight of the church’s endowment and real estate holdings. 

Prior to joining Trinity, Ms. Jenkins was the co-chief investment officer of the Carnegie Corporation of New York, Andrew Carnegie’s foundation, from 2011 to 2016. She joined in 1999 as its first investment associate and was an integral part of the build-out of the corporation’s investment capability under its first chief investment officer. 

After moving to Hong Kong in 2007, she served as the corporation’s special representative to Hong Kong, focusing on investment opportunities in Asia, including China, Japan, India, Southeast Asia, and Australia. During this time, she continued as an active member of the investment leadership team. Before joining Carnegie Corporation, she was a buy-side equity research associate for Sanford C. Bernstein & Co. and an investment banking analyst at Goldman Sachs. 

Ms. Jenkins received a B.A. in English language and literature, with distinction, from the University of Virginia, where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa, and an M.B.A. degree from Harvard Business School. 

She serves on the board of the University of Virginia Investment Management Company (UVIMCO) and the board of trustees of the Wenner-Gren Foundation. 


Monica Spencer
Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer
Weizmann Global Endowment Management Trust

Ms. Spencer was appointed Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer of the Weizmann Global Endowment Management Trust in November 2021. Weizmann GEM invests endowment assets on behalf of the Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel and its global affiliates. 

Prior to joining Weizmann GEM, she served for 15 years as Senior Portfolio Manager at the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation in New York. Previously, she was an investment banker at Merrill Lynch after beginning her career in the performing arts. 

She serves as a trustee and member of the investment committee for Groton School in Massachusetts and the Diocesan Investment Trust in New York. She also serves on the investment committee of the Max Planck Foundation.

She holds a BA in English Language and Literature from Yale College and an MBA from the Darden Graduate School of Business at the University of Virginia, where she was a Shermet scholar.
