Long Term Disability Coverage
Do you have enough money set aside to cover your expenses if you couldn't work for more than a year? Could your family survive on only your savings or your spouse's income? If not, you may wish to consider Long Term Disability Insurance.
Your employer may offer this insurance as a benefit, or you may purchase it through your employer. Long Term Disability Insurance pays you a portion of your regular compensation, up to $5,000 per month if you qualify. If you qualify, benefits begin after you have been disabled for 360 days.
