Which Plan Do I Have?

The Church Pension Fund offers pension plans for lay employees. The plan available to you is determined by your employer.

Defined Contribution Plan

The Defined Contribution Plan is 401(a) and 403(b) plan administered by Fidelity Investments.

Contributions

  • You and your employer may contribute.
  • Your employer typically contributes an amount equal to at least 5% of your annual compensation.1
  • Your employer may match your contributions up to a pre-determined maximum – typically 4% of your compensation.1
  • You are not required to contribute – however, you lose out on the employer match if you do not contribute.
  • Your contribution reduces your current taxable income.

Your Retirement Benefit

  • Your benefit is based on the value of your vested account balance in retirement.

1Contact your administrator for the exact contribution level.
